I hope this is the right place. I am looking to finally replace my second TV which is a TV/Video combo which I always find very handy for recording stuff. I am looking for a 32 inch lcd and it would be great if there was one with a capacity to record off the TV- is there such a thing? I don't necessarily need one with a built in DVD player if that make sense.

Depends where you are & what you want to record.
There certainly were Freeview+ (UK) certified TVs with HDD (I know LG made one) but unlikely to be any for Saorview yet.

If it's "Freeview+ HD" TV, it "should" be OK...
(not to be confused with "Freeview+" Full HDTV, or HD Ready that is not "Freeview HD")

Can't find any mention of these integrated PVRs now, although googling the original "Freeview Playback" name brings up reviews of the LG and Humax sets I remember from about 3 years ago.
    Mustn't have sold too well . . .

Tesco (UK) were doing own brand TV's with some kind of USB based recording feature but these probably only did MPEG2

The Panasonic UK model TX-L32G20B can record to a USB device but it might be a bit expensive since it has BOTH a Freeview HD AND Freesat HD Tuners onboard. The G20B works perfectly with Saorview.
