i am having a problem with one radiator upstairs keeps turning off, when I take rad off there is air in the flow pipe, I clear it and the rad heats again until the next week the same happens. This rad was fitted later than the bedrooms and has qualplex , while the other rads have copper. I read somewhere that qualplex fitted going over and betwen joist can be liable to airlock, is this true and would it be the problem, or should i fit a valve to emmit the air from the pipes, none on the system at present, all the other rads are working fine.where is the best to fit the valve?

I have similar problem, but I just vent the rad - don't have to take it off the wall.

Mine's an open system - should this happen?
