Make-up for Green eyes/light brown hair

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions/tips on make up for a person with (almond shaped) green eyes, light brown hair and olive skin. I have high cheek bones (so I'm told).

I've read a few sites recommending the Urban Decay Naked Palette for people with green eyes, but obviously I've no idea how true this is as I've only ever seen the product online, so wouldn't know what the colors are like in reality.

I am not sure if it is of any use, but for a list of products in my make-up bad see this post and for photos see this post.

Also in my cosmetic bag (but not listed in that post) are:

Eye primer: Gosh Velvet Touch eye Primer
    Eye base: Gosh eyeshadow base
Concealer: Bobbi Brown face touch-up stick (colour: #2 Sand)
Foundation: Bobbi Brown 'Natural Finish long lasting (colour: #2 Sand) & Clinique Anti-Blemish (colour: 02 Fresh Ivory)
Powder: MAC Pressed blot powder (medium)
Bronzer: Clarins bronzing duo (colour: 00 morning sun) & Clinique shimmering tones powder (use it on my cheek bones only) (colour: 02 peach bronze)
Mascara: Clinique 'high impact' and L'Orea Paris 'telescopic'
Bourjois 'smokey effect' eyeliner/eye pencil (colour: 71 smoked brown)
Bourkois 'kohl & contour' eyeliner/eye pencil (colour: 03 braun expressif)
Bobbi Brown 'long wear gel liner; (colour: Violet Ink)
Clinique 'air brush concealer' (colour: 04 neutral fair)

I don't wear false eye lashes (my own lashes are long and thick).

Also, can anyone recommend videos/website which give tutorials on how to create looks (smokey eye etc) please?

    Thanks for any help.

Favourite eye and hair combo ;) (I got stuck with grey eyes and fair hair....)
The smokey purple eye is really in at the moment and from your description, I think it'd look fab on you! Something like this:

This is a pretty good tutorial for it as well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2JGkzXG37Q

I have hazel green eyes and find I can wear most eyeshadow colours. Browns bring out the sparkle most though I think. That palette looks like a great selection.

I have similar colouring to you, OP, and I've been told that browns and purples are the best :) the smoky purple above is perfect! I also have a MAC palatte of pinks and greys that are really great as well.

If you want advice on specific products and colours, I'd say ask one of the girls at a make-up counter when it's not too busy. MAC have so many colours, so I think they're great, but benefit is good too. Their Smoky Eyes palatte suits almost everyone!

I'd say copper colours would be lovely... Or a nice shimmery brown pencil like Mac "Teddy"

I like taupe colours personally, and magenta/plum purple are really nice. Gold colours look amazing next to my eyes but don't suit the rest of my colouring :(
Also like in the summer to line the bottom of my eyes with a bright blue, I like it next to my eye colour.

Oh how i wish i had green eyes!!

I notice most of your makeup is pretty neutral, you should try more purples and blues, particularly navy blue, it looks stunning against green eyes!!

Check out Lauren Luke on Youtube(Panacea81) she does the best tutorials, and she's really entertaining to watch too! She does celebrity looks as well as everyday makeup looks, great to have a go at!!

I tend to stick to neutral colours as I wasn't sure what other colours would suit my eye colour, but as so many people are recommending purple/gold/copper etc I will definitely try more colours.

I will pop into BT's during the week and see about getting appointments at MAC and Benefit.

Thanks for all the recommends (and keep them coming!).

Green eyes look fabulous with purple eye make-up. I agree too that gold or a strong blue/navy would be lovely.

Gosh eye-shadow is gorgeous and shimmery but at about a tenner for a small pot, it's not cheap! I have the gold one and its amazing on.

I'd recommend experimenting with gold/beige/brown blending colours if you're more inclined to neutral colours. Purple eye-liner would be lovely too without being as loud as purple eye-shadow.

I've got green eyes and when I do a smokey eye, I use purple. It really makes the green pop. Pretty easy to master. I use macs smoulder pencil, melt it with my fingers (smudge it in) and blend blend blend!! Blend a gorgeous vivid purple in, making sure to bring it underneath your lower lash line also.

There's also a pigment called colorado Rockies by fushia, which is out.of.this.world. when it's on. It's a copper colour.

You should always use colours at the opposite ends of the spectrum to enhance each other.. As per the colour wheel, if you have green eyes then redish colours will bring them out more.. and so on...

dior do a reds to browns palette thats gorge but the name has worn off mine so don't know the name!

Browns, purples and particularly golds really make green eyes pop. Have a look for a gold palette because if you're only used to neutrals it could be a stepping stone to more colour for you and glittery gold will look great for christmas!!!

    Thanks everyone.

I will try other colours as well as Neutrals, it's just I wasn't sure what colours would suit my eye colour.

    Thanks again for the help.
