you had a duvet? lucky duck.

I had those horrible beige itchy blankets. And no, I never got lost in them.

Great now I have this song stuck in my head.

    You're lost in duvet,
    Caught in a trap,
    No turnin' back.

    YOU'RE LOST IN DUVET.

But in answer to your question. No.........<chuckle>

No, I was a child, not a moron.

No, but I used to do it to my dog though. It was great gas seeing the duvet roam around the room, bumping into stuff.

/awaits onslaught from Peta & activists*

*He loved it though, really. He made his happy grarly noise when he tried to break free, then shook it to smithereens.

An itchy blanket?! What I wouldn't have given for an itchy blanket, all I had was thorns woven together, and I was glad for it!

Thorns would cause less irritation than those woolly yokes!

Rolls of barbed wire we had to sleep in.

Sleep, you got to SLEEP?! Our thorn-blankets were just to keep us warm while we kept guard to watch for wolves. Pfft, sleep.

You should have been lucky to just have wolves to look out for. Back in my day, it was Velociraptors this and Pteradactyls that. Of course the meteors sorted them out good and proper but we were still living in fear for our lives during that era.

When I saw this thread title I thought you were posting from inside the duvet and would be asking for our advice on what to do.

You were never lost in your duvet.

You were lost in the caves of Hades with Lord Vengeance chasing after you as you've just stolen the Talisman of Unspeakable Power so you can use it for good and he doesn't rise up with his evil minions.

    Then you wake up.

And to be honest. Thank you OP for a nice thread in AH that doesn't have to do with the bleedin' Irish economy. Thank you.

Back in my day, we had 2-3 blankets. No duvets. And it was still freezing cold in those old council houses.

    And no, I'm not joking.

I passed out on my bed once...

had a panic attack when I woke up inside the closed duvet sheet. My friends are assholes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,791 ✭✭✭JJJJNR

Well my ma used to wrap the sheets very tight at the end and right around the bed, so it was impossible for a 3 year old to break out of those sheets.

Got lost in the duvet once, ended up in a snowy forest.

Had many the adventures, and then a talking lion that may or may not have been a metaphor for Christ helped me get home.

D'ya ever end up rolled up in your sheet like a cocoon, so that you can't move? Not a hugely pleasant experience. And you can never find the start of it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,104 ✭✭✭Swampy

Yep. Happened to me once. Freaky.
