Wide fit boots

So I don't have the skinniest of legs and am desperate to find a really nice pair of boots that will fit me. I got a gorgeous pair in Evans a good few years back and I've looked after them so they've lasted me well. The only thing is they're leather with a kitten heel and I would like a high heel pair of suede boots. I'm amazed at how difficult it is to find wide fit boots with a high heel!

I've tried Evans and Simply be and they're all low heel, I've just spotted these ones in New look and they look pretty good but I've never had any experience with their boots. Are they actually wide fit?

Any other recommendations would be brill! Please and thank you!

I ordered from there, you give them your measurements and they make the boots to fit.
I ordered a pair from there, it's expensive, but they were honestly the most comfy boots ever.

Duo Boots are worth every penny, they are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned and I am a size 8 and a 47cm calf.

Be warned they are very expensive! But so worth it!!!!!!!

Kind of annoying though when you choose Ireland as your delivery country, they price changes from pounds to euros - and of course the price increases! So I'm looking at €200 for these ones. Will have to get the measuring tape out!

I have 3 pairs of Duo Boots and the quality is amazing. Well worth the money. I'll be buying another pair in their Christmas sale.

Hey whoopsie, I had a similar thread on wide fitting flat boots recently too, and duo boots came up and though I loved the look I just couldn't pull off the price.:(

Sooo, after trawling the west I found a lovely pair, "Shu" brand boots in Greenes footwear in Galway for only €65. They had a ton of options in there too, was delighted with my purchase :D

I have wide legs also, with a size 8 foot. Probably an 8 1/2 would be closer.

I had to accept year ago that 9/10 shoes will not fit me, and that goes to 19/20 for boots. It is easier for me now as so many footwear brands don't fit me, I walk into shop, and know which brands exactly I can look at. The shoe/boot always has to be a 42 (41 is not an 8, it is a 7 1/2 & they don't fit me). Skechers is the only brand of that kind of everyday trainer/shoe that fit me for example.

It is a case of going through the shops. I got a pair of boots in Pennys: knee high brown boots,1/2 inch heel, wide leg for €24. It was probably the only piece of footwear in the shop that fitted me :D:D:D (not quite).

I spend €80 for black knee high boots, they were in a sale in Clarks (I think), solid heel 2''. I wanted something plain but classy to wear every day, under skirts, dresses etc, but would also be really comfortable.

I have been very surprised with what fits me lately. Generally the cheaper brands are getting more generous with their sizes, whereas the standard named one are not.

    +1 on Duo boots.
Before ordering them though you should try out M&S. Mrs.Goat who tends to order her boots from Duo was plesantly supprised that the boots in there are actually a fit.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Next do wide fitting shoes and boots. Linky. There doesn't seem to be anything in the style you're looking at but could be handy for again.
I'm a wide size 7, can never buy shoes in River Island :(

Good old M&S seem to supply a decent enough range of wide fitting boots!

I'd say don't be put off trying the likes of Penneys and Dunnes. Some of them wouldn't go on my arm, but i've a couple of nice pairs from both places that fit perfectly.

    Thanks for all your replies!

I'd be delighted if I could get some in Penneys or Dunnes but I never seem to find them :(

I'm definitley going to try M&S and Clarks, heading to Dundrum tonight. Next claim to have wide fitting boots but they're not to be honest...

Duo boots may be on the cards yet, I mentioned it to Mr. doodles and he said he'd buy them for me :D

    Thanks Caroline!

Unfortunately the ones I wanted were out of stock for 6-8 weeks :(

I managed to pick myself up a pair in Penneys, they are over the knee ones and they are pretty cool so hopefully I will have the nerve to wear them!!!!!

Having a few drinks before you leave the house always does wonders for the confidence, if you're a little unsure about wearing something.

How has no one said Evans or New Look? If you're not going for the clothes, both do a great 'wide fit' selection. I love them because they usually have a solid heal and my balance is bad at the best of times, plus will defo fit on the calf.

Unfortunately Evans don't do the style I'm looking for. But I liked the New Look ones in the OP so I'm delighted to hear they will fit. Pity it's so close to Christmas now, I probably wouldn't get them in time. I wonder would they have them in the Jervis centre. :)
