Well considering the alternative is Christian I would consider it a compliment. Hmmm which would I rather be classed as, Heathen or Christian, Heathen or Christian...? The sooner Christian becomes a derogatory term the better.

No it's not, it just means non christian and of a Germanic/Norse religion/spirituality.

It is only an insult if you consider christianity and christians to be superiority and anything else as lesser.

The same with pagan, pagan broadly means none christian and there are more
'pagans' on the planet then all of the Judaic religions(Xian, Islamic, Jewish) combined.

To call someone a heathen/pagan is to infer they do not have Xian values or morals or misguidedly that they do not believe in any god(which is a misnomer as often there is a believe of many gods).
