Anyone watching this? Its a really exciting game of rugby so far, Cardiff running it from everywhere and Ulster giving as good as they get. 7 - 5 thus far to Cardiff.

7-8, Humphreys with a penalty from 40+ metres.

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,616 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

thought that was a harsh yellow, he clearly went for the interception rather than the knock down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Terrible decision, that was never a yellow card.

He dropped the ball rather than cynically knocked it down.

    15-8 HT, Tom James try.

    15-11, Humphreys penalty.

    57 minutes gone.

    BOOM!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

    What a try from Gilroy!!!

Shades of Ashton's wonder try against Australia!!!

    15 - 18, conversion scored.

That was some try, brilliant pace.

    Magic try there.

Gilroy looks like a very talented jinky runner.

2 good tries by Ulster, great finishing

Wow, another Ulster try. Adam D'Arcy.

haha put money on Ulster +7!!

It's like the All Blacks blitz yesterday, Ulster suddenly scoring tries!

Conversion missed. 15-23, 18 minutes to go.

Clinical try from Ulster there. big 5 minutes there, 15 points in about 5 minutes with a conversion to come!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,108 ✭✭✭johnnysmack

what is going on with ulster!!! 2 tries in 2 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Ulster's backrow has been brilliant tonight.

Ah feck Marshall offloaded it back to Sweeney, should have held on and waited.

Cardiff are shellshocked, they're in shambles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,288 ✭✭✭crisco10

Sweeney has suddenly started kicking aimlessly to the Ulster back 3.

Edit: hope iHumps miss there doesn't end up costing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Chance for Humphreys to increase the lead to 11.

    Edit: Missed. :(

I'm surprised they didn't kick to the corner, they gotta be thinking BP win here. Cardiff have mentally left the ground: errors, kicking possession away etc

Another turnover try for Ulster. lovely aggressive counter rucking by Trimble I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,881 ✭✭✭PhatPiggins

    Cardiff are headless without Rush

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Faloon try! :)

All came from a fantastic turnover, think it might have been Henry.

IH converts, 15-30 with 8 minutes remaining. What a second half performance.

Good point that, they've totally lost their heads since he went off. Surprised at the lack of leadership considering Tito is a former captain of the side.

Ulster definitely needed this win, considering Cardiff are missing 10+ players with Ulster only missing Best, Ferris and Pienaar.

I'm really impressed with Paul Marshall. From an Ireland perspective, it's a crying shame that Pienaar is at Ulster.

and that means 3 of the top 5 are Irish. :D:D

Backed Ulster after their third try at 1/2. looks like easy money now.

Edit: and another ulster try. always looked likely even when Cardiff had the ball.

    Great away performance.

Missed the final try. Was that Gilroy again?

Wow, 15-37, what a scoreline. Fair ****s to Ulster. 31 unanswered points in the second half.

Now let's hope Munster can finish tonight with a bang. :D

No doubt Ulster will follow it up with a loss in Treviso next week, though the Italians will lose a lot to the national team.

Have watched Craig Gilroy a lot for Dungannon in past couple of seasons and he's seriously quick. He could be a real star not of the future but of the present.

Never seen him on the back foot, his defense good?

Both Leinster and Connacht lost. Treviso will be minus their internationals as Italy play Fiji the following day.

Ulster will be without Ferris, Best, Court, Wallace, Trimble, Muller, Diack, Cave, Fitzgerald and Pollock. Additionally McLaughlin will probably select Niall O'Connor hence condemning Ulster effectively to play with 14 men.

Why no cave? Why no Pollock? I was at the Leinster A vs Ravens game and O'Conner played awful. Paddy Jackson played most of the game quite well and then Niall came on and literally added nothing to the team.

Cave is injured and alas it looks like Pollock's career is over. Hip problem that appears to be intractable.

    Such a shame re Pollock.

I remember watching him when Ulster beat the crap out of Munster at Thomond two seasons ago, he was outstanding that day.

Thought Luke Fitzgerald was Leinster. Maybe it's Declan Fitzpatrick you're thinking of.

Yes. Deccie. He got injured in September. He was performing really well. Our other tight head, Macklin broke his leg also. I forgot about him.
