Stainless steel exhaust company in Dublin?

Was looking at getting a longlife exhaust in Waterford, unfortunately the metal straps holding my backbox up both decided to give way at the same time and I don't fancy nursing it down to Waterford.

Anywhere in Dublin who'd be comparable to Longlife?

Get on to Souhans in Trim. I've used them twice now and their work is top notch and their prices are very competitive.

In the good old days of yore motorists would just tie up the back box with a bit of bare wire (no burning insulation smell) for a few days or even weeks until they could afford to get it fixed properly.

    Trim's too far!

Slimjim, I can get replacement brackets/rubber mounts for €50 all in, but no point if I'm going to replace the exhaust anyway(ex uk car with 105,000 miles, so backbox is fairly badly corroded and the rubber mounts are one use only).

Booked into a Longlife Franchise in Waterford, will take pics and a video and let people know how I get on.

(Longlife are regarded as the business in UK)

Apologies to bump an old (ish) thread mods :)

How did you get on with these dudes in Waterford ? My backbox metal strap is in bits too and the actual backbox outer skin I stripped off some months back as it was rotten so I was thinking a SS one may be as cheap / dear as a normal replacement.

Mine has a clothes hanger holding it up now :pac: 'twas knocking like a Jehova so had to do a quick repair after I was in the gym, got in done and a quick blast around confirmed it's ok for now, just back in time for the Apprentice

Have it booked in with a dude in Co Cork but he can't get around to it until mid to late January, he is apparently very very good.

Trim is like 30min from Dublin, was that really too far? People travel a lot further to Souhans than that.

Did a great job, and took the two of them 8 hours(from 10am til 6pm) to get it done! Went for two silencers and a mild sport note, a bit boomy around 2,000 revs but it's fine on the motorways

Too far when the whole exhaust system was relying on the exhaust manifold to keep it up!
