Luas limited service?

    Anybody know why the luas is only running stephens green to beechwood and balally to sandyford? Announcent this morning just said incident? Also if anybody uses it today can you post when it's back running as normal?

    It could have been anything from a signalling or track fault to an accident.

    I didn't see any notice on luas.ie, but that is not to say there wasn't any.

    Was out southside today with a one day bus/luas ticket on the Luas and landed in the middle of this. Electrical fault so no service between beechwood and balally. Suggested via display board and some random intercom messages use local bus services, no info what buses you use, the website noted no problems. No luas reps to be seen.

    Bunch of people headed for the bus stop near ranleigh. Waited for ages, # 11 bus arrives and announces he doesn't go near any luas stops, have to wait for a 44. Knowing it was a sunday service and it was about to start lashing ignored his advice hopped on board, rang mate who said the #11 goes to Kilmacud which is 5 mins walk from Kilmacud luas station. Problem sorted no thanks to mr DB driver. Felt sorry for tourists left behind.

    Return luas annoucned same thing and then around 3pm on route said it was all sorted and he was heading into stephens green. that said seemed good value for a one day luas and bus ticket at 7.50.
