    Hi All,

I'm getting married in oct 2011, in feb of this year i saw a dress i loved and put a deposit on it 600 euro, after been told they would order the dress few months before the wedding blah blah.

I got a call yesterday to say my dress will be early next week and they require me to collect it as they are relocating to smaller premises and haven't got room to store dress. I'm in shock.

    1) its wayyyyyyyy to early for the dress wedding aint for another 11 months.
    2) i cant just get up another 600 euro to collect dress.
    3) i've no were to store it if i did get rest of money
    4) i could be different size come next year.
    5) id be afraid that if left hanging the dress would go off colour

Spoke to my mum yesterday and she said no way the agreement was just before wedding, that i should ask for my deposit back.

Im so confused, wat would you do???

    thanksssss:eek:

If it were me, I would go in all guns blazing and try to get my deposit back, and see how that goes.

Sounds like they are in trouble and need your extra €600 - do not give it to them. They have broken the contract.

If they are in trouble, they could be gone over-night. I think in this case the "he who shouts loudest" policy would be called for.

Unless you have it in writing about the order date, then you have 2 choices

    - collect the dress and pay for it
    - forfeit your deposit

I would go in to them and complain.
Aside from anything, its too early to even have the dress in the shop as it will go off colour. Its their mistake, they need to rectify it.
