Same happened me before Oxegen. :) Get your chassis number & reg from your log book, ring your dealer and have them get you an uncoded key cut so you can open the doors.

    Mine only cost €15. :)

Then keep it somewhere safe in case it happens again.

Depending on the layout and position of the lock mechanism, as in, is the lock mounted on the boot lid or the rear panel? Sometimes, by removing the rear licence plate, a small inspection hole can be found (or drilled) through which a thin screwdriver can be inserted to trip the lock release mechanism. This really works on some cars, as I have had occasion to do it myself!

Thanks for all your replies lads. UNfortunatly, my internet was down all day and only got to see them now. so , this is what i did, i got 2 large flat head screwdrivers, and wedged/leavered open the drivers door (just over the window), and stuck a wedge of timeber behind them , about an inch thick. I then got a steel meter ruler, and put a hook on it, made froma cloths hanger, and eventually managed to catch the door handle, and pull it. however this did not work, as the car was "deadlocked", or not energised, and so it did not unlock. So, after the use of some bad language, i then leavered open the back door window, similar to what i did on the drivers door, and using the meter ruler and hook, i managed to push and pull the manual window handle, and eventually had the back window open. I then found out that i could not drop down the back seats to get to the boot, and the car was still non-energised, so could not be unlocked, even tho i was in the car. So, i had to start rippin the speakers from the back, and then with another cloths hanger , hook my keys and pull them through the speaker whole. PHEW...tough day..ha ha!!!
Lease i didnt have to spend much . gettign second key cut tomorrow!!:P

    thanks again.

    Hey Jocotty,
Very industrious of you. How much did you get the keys cut/programmed for?
I need a spare key myself.

    Hi Mozoltov,
Thats a great price for supply and cutting of key! What dealer did you use and for what car? If I can get a genuine one uncoded for around €15 then I might see if these guys
    http://irishlocksmith.com/vehicle_keys_ecu_programming.php
    or these guys
    http://www.autokey.ie/
    can programme it cheaply.
I read on another thread Peden cut and programmed a blank Audi key for €70 euro although it was years ago.
