Anyone here got one? Just wondering about the sounds. As far as I can make out, a person can put their own sounds onto the unit via USB? What I want to know is, can sounds downloaded from sites such as Western Rivers and Varmintal be put onto them without hassle, or is there some type of special sound file used?

    ATB,

    John

i've got one, i don't know about the different file types. i've only ever changed one sound on it. it's no bother if the pther file is an mp3 anyway. i wanted to try a racoon pups sound because some one on here said the red lads cant resist it, but it doesn't play loud enough for the sound to carry.

john do you understand how to use an audio converter? if you do just find out what type audio format is already installed onto the calls on your u caller example: (mp3, wav) to do this insert usb from u caller into computer drag one call from the u caller onto your screen and then right click, click properties and it will say file type, if it says for example mp3, just get your audio converter and convert your downloaded file from western rivers or varmintal to mp3 format in order for u caller to play that track! a good audio converter to use is audacity- this can convert audio files to mp3 and wav formats if that is what your u caller uses on its audio tracks then download audacity its free to download! if you do this you can put any downloaded tracks onto your u caller
this can get confusing for some including myself but i learned how to do this the hard way! ive done this before but instead of u caller i use my phone! any questions or your completely confused pm me ill be happy to try and help

One of the lads i know got one,the sound quality was fairly poor to be honest. He'd prob sell it fairly cheap if your looking for one!Yeah you can connect usb cable to it.The volume is very bad,we connected it to an external speaker aswell and the sound was still fairly bad.

Think the fox-pro callers are the proper job...if i had the money to splash id love one!

lads audacity can amplify the sounds so if your sound doesnt play loud enough give audacity a go its what ive done and believe me audacity helped me to create calls loud enough for field use to call foxes crows etc... and i use it to cut calls great tool FREE and all
    hope ive made life easier

i have one john, great job on foxes, sounds carry a fair distance and if you are stuck for volume you can buy a speaker for them, works great for me anyway
