Very slow laptop

I have a HP DV 9500. It's about 3 years old. When I check my C drive, there is only 33GB free out of 120GB. I have noticed it is quite slow opening internet pages, especially another tab, or even general start up. I was hoping to increase the free space.

I checked my programs and deleted as much as I could. I have transferred most of my files and photos to an external, so all I really have is music left on the laptop. I check iTunes and it is 8GB.

Where else could I free up space? I have tried defragmenting it but is there something I could download, or install to make it faster? It's an AMD Dual Core 1.8 Gz processor with 2GB Ram.
