So I'm thinking of buying Mac Face And Body foundation and Bad Gal Eyeliner and I have a couple of questions about the products and also other make-up related questions :D

    1. I have quite pale skin so would the Mac cover up redness and would it suit my skin tone

    2. is the Bad Gal Eyeliner any good?(How long does it stay on for?)

how long does the founation and eye-liner stay on for?

    3. None of my foundations ever stay on, so should I get primer and what kind? :D

I'll be heading to Galway tomorrow so if anyone knows what shops I could get them in, that'd be great :D

I do apologise for all the questions, but I really want to know!
    Thanks! :)

    Copied from another thread.
I use Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer and think it's fab.

I think its about €18 though for the facial foundation, so not exactly cheap, sorry. I also use the Gosh Velvet Touch Eye Primer and find it good. But, tbph, eye facial primer does just as good job as the eye primer, the only real difference is the price. I also have the Gosh Eyeshadow Base and found it good tbh.

It might be cheaper if you buy online.

As for the foundation and eyeliner - I have no idea sorry.

I'd say your better off getting a long wearing foundation then using a primer, primers help but they have their limitations.

I got Bad Gal free with Glamour over the summer and I've never used it! I don't really like how chunky it is. I might just be used to holding a skinny liner but I just find it difficult to work with.

Can't advise you on the MAC foundation but I use Bare Minerals foundation with their primer and it lasts all day. I've tried liquid foundations that are supposed to be long-lasting but didn't like any of them, some feel quite heavy/cakey. I find it covers loads of things without looking caked on which is brilliant. It covers spots well and I've a small red birthmark which it covers up too if I can be bothered. The lightest shade is just too light for me but I'm not the palest. I mix together 2 shades to get the perfect shade for me, but I do this with any foundation I use!

Bad Gal - goes on really easily and you can sharpen it so it gives a fine line or use it blunt for a thicker line. I've got deep set eyes so I find the blunt line too thick but the fine line looks good. I way prefer the Bare Minerals eyeliner powder set for going out but the Bad Gal is much handier for carrying around.

Primer - I like the Bare Minerals one, Smashbox is also good, very similar but it comes in a glass bottle which is really stupid because you can't get at the primer that's left inside the bottle towards the end.

I love the MAC Face and Body, and I'm a paley too :) You need to bear in mind that it is a water based foundation so it is much lighter consistency than you'll be used to, and the coverage won't be as strong as others. I use MAC Select Cover in NW15, a very pale concealer, under the Face and Body foundation. I would then set it with a translucent powder. I often us it down my neck, chest and back if I feel I need it, it evens out skin tone rather than colouring like a tan.

I would NOT recommend the gosh primer, it makes my skin look greasy. I use smashbox photo finish primer for my foundation and it's worth every cent.

Mac face and body foundation is just okay, the coverage is very light and to be honest I think it's not worth the extra money vs cheaper light coverage foundations. I love mac studio fix fluid though it's quite heavy coverage. I'm also pale btw. When I don't fake tan I wear mac NC15 (their lightest shade though that's even a bit too dark for me!)

Oh whoops forgot about the eyeliner!

I think bad gal eyeliner is decent for a pencil eyeliner but I have cheaper ones which do the same job really. If you want a long lasting eyeliner I would recommend MAC fluidline in blacktrack, it's a gel liner so you will have to use a brush to apply it but it's really easy and lasts all day. I usually apply it in the morning at 8am and it's still there at night when I take off my makeup. I put it on my waterline too and sometimes use a tiny bit of black eyeshadow to "set" it, works perfectly! I have converted so many friends and relatives to it :)

Bad Girl eyeliner is the worst ive ever used! Its smudgy, messy stuff! And mac pencil liner was crap too. The best eyeliner i got so far is the Rimmel liquid one in the cone shaped bottle. I go back to this everytime and its probably only about €8 or something. If you really want a pencil eyeliner, id recommend Sephora or Rimmel again. Bobbi Brown do a solid liner which you apply with an eyeliner brush & its really good.

Probably a bit late if you've already been shopping, but I love Bad Gal eye liner. I find that it's really dark and black, which is what I like about it and I think it's staying power is pretty good too. If you don't like chunky pencils, it is best avoided though - took me a while to get used to that.
