    Be Seen!
Just received these lights in the post from Hong Kong bought through ebay.

Never bought anything on ebay from Hong Kong before, and in all honest I thought I'd be weeks waiting for them to arrive, and then possibly disappointed with the quality for them.

Anyway they arrived yesterday, only a week after I ordered them and I'am very pleased with them.

I saw them elsewhere for €10, so at under €3 delivered I think its fair to call them a bargain!

It takes those button cells, they're a pain in the ass. if it took AAA's then it would be perfect

Well in fairness they are supplied with batteries.
And they are probably cell type to keep the overall design small.

Besides can you even buy a couple of AAA batteries for under €3.

    No No NO
    AA batteries please.

AAA are nearly as bad as those buttons, they cost the same price as AA but a fraction of the power and little saving on weight or space.
I cant understand any consumer device built to use AAA when they could easily fit AA in the same space - eg full size remotes, lights, etc etc.
ONLY if it is designed to be slim, compact and light should it justify the financial and ecological premium of AAAs
    AAA rant over

OP, you can regularly find reasonable led bike lights in the pound / euro shops for around €2, some use AAs. I have got a pair of tiny wraparound button battery leds lights in pound shop previously for 2, I keep for emergency use..

Dunno some of my Smart/Cateye lights use AAA and they've lasted ages. The LED's don't use much power.

My only issue with these 2frog" lights is that they aren't powerful for a cycling. They are basically toys IMO.

You need something like this..Smart Lunar 25 Lux Lightset

Well going off the feedback here maybe I should try them out fully myself, before posting.

Still for under €3 they maybe useful as a backup.

I got these from dealextreme a few weeks ago and they're still going well.

    https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.19033

They're not bright enough to serve as primary lights but they're good back-ups and can be set to either of two flashing modes as well as constant. They take the CR2032 button batteries but those are pretty cheap from the same site.

Delivery is included in the prices and takes 3-4 weeks. They come from Hong Kong so you can get caught for customs etc. if the total value of the order is high enough.

Nice 1 thanks bought 4 sets for the son and his mates. None of them have working lights on their bikes. If they last the winter its well worth it.

Avoid. I got similar on dealextreme. The batteries last about 10 days. Cost me €12 quid for 2 sony button cells, albeit it's going strong about 6 weeks since.

Better off going with the cheap lights on dx that take AA or AAA batteries. Those button cells are expensive to replace.

Oops! Too late Just ordered 4. Ah what the heck we will see what happens.

Do you mean the kids or the lights?

Used the lights last night and there is good flashing light emitted from them.

They mightn't light up a dark country lane, but to be seen by other road users around town, their perfect.

And as I was out on the town for the night, the small size was perfect for carrying around in my pocket.

Also as mentioned below replacement batteries can be had pretty cheaply for them.

Just to mention the lights in the OP look identical to the ones above, however they have two LED's on each light, not one. Delivery time was just a week and a half.

Theses are a better deal IMO.

the rear light has 4 LED , the front has 2, but they are amazingly bright. These are definitely bright enough for full time use.

The smart bit is that the are USB rechargeable so no need to buy batteries. A charge lasts for ages too....
