Free anti-virus that for proxy server

    Hi, my first post
    I'm looking for a free anti virus software that can can update itself through a proxy server from college...Alot of programs are blocked, and some anti-virus programs cant update, I have been using kaspersky trials for the last 3 months and times nearly up!!!

    I have to enter a username and password...if anybody knows a program which can help me for free or more trials, or else i will have to buy the full license

    What programs can you use with your university connection? The reason i ask is because some AV programs allow you do download manual updates through your web browser, which may get around you problem.

    Ya that should work, do you have the names of those AV programs which can download updates through browser, any free ones would be appreciated, or else i'll get there trials...Kaspersky is the only one i've found so far that can automatically detect proxy, i'm going to get ESET trial next to see if it works...Thanks:D
