Know this should be in the motoring section, but I'm looking for a local place that will do a good window tinting job on my car, someone told me there was a place near galvone, anyone ever used them ???

Thought you couldn't tint windows anymore in cars? NCT fail straight away?

    Confusing really.

You can tint your windows all you want but you will not pass the NCT. Buy a brand new car, tint those windows and 4 years later remove them before the NCT.

However, most new cars come with around 15-30% of tint in the glass already some putting on what you think is 40% may actually be 55-70% tint making it hard to see.

    Not illegal though.

    From the NCT website:
The glass in the windscreen and front side windows will be required to have a light transmission level of not less that 65% in order to pass the test.

That will fail an NCT but you can still put in your car before or after the NCT.
