    Hello,

I am currently developing a Boxee app for TG4, RTÉ and TV3, and I am posting here to see if anyone would be interested in helping me out.

    aledoux's RTÉ app
is no longer working and he/she seems to have abandonded the project.

Reply here if you would be interested in such an app or have experience building Boxee apps.

The TG4 app is high priority as they do not block content to foerign IPs, so it would be more valuable to Boxee users.

I have already developed an RSS feed for TG4 as they do not currently provide one.

    Contact me if you're interested.

    Le meas,
    Luga

I've no interest as I already have these channels, what would really interest me is the Rte iPlayer

While I am not in a position to help, I just want to say this is a great idea. I for one would be delighted if such an app was available.

I think Boxee is fantastic, however it's main function in Ireland is limited to a media centre, home podcast client, and a few nice photo apps. However, Boxee's main appeal across the world is the ability to download/stream and view legal content (hulu/netflix/bbc player) which is regionally restricted here in Ireland. If we had an app which allowed us to view Irish channels Boxee would really catch on.

My only suggestion would be to get RTE Player supported and working first. As RTE player has the most content (RTE1 & RTE2), you will get more bang for your buck. Once a stable app is available and widely in use, more developers may be willing to jump on board.

You may wish to contact RTE, TV3 & TG4 and ask for assistance. A lot of TV channels (especially TG4) wish for their content to be as widely available as possible, especially if you adhere to their advertising rules (i.e. don't strip out ads). TG4 get funding from the state to widen their audience base, so they may be willing to provide some form of support.

Thanks in advance and hope you get some offers of support from other developers. As I say, unfortunately, I am not in a position to help at the moment. Best of luck.
