UPC - cancelling TV when?

I have the Max HD package (because I read that the Cisco box was better). But I'm not using it - my TV is SD and the Dreambox picture is better than the UPC picture on TV even on SD channels (pixellation is very obvious on the Cisco/cable and not on the Dreambox/Satellite).
I just want to go back to Freesat as I never use the UPC stuff because of the poor picture and the really, really crap EPG.

Can I just ask to drop the TV services and keep the internet ones?
If I must keep the TV services that I don't use, when do I need to give notification that I don't want them any more before I get into another years contract? I got the package in February this year.

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Yes you can just have internet (broadband) only from UPC but they will take a last bite of you arse as your leaving by hitting you with the broadband only charge €7.50 per month I think,..of course the basic analogue TV service will still be available as all UPC services come through the same cable,..if your over the initial 12mths contract you will need to give them 1 months notice...
