Is this the right place to ask?

I just wanted to know how do the link thing where you can type (for example) "click here" and have the word here as the link instead of the acutal link. Does that even make sense?

For example - the first line of this post.

    http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=69100416&postcount=5

    How do I do that?

(sorry if in the wrong place.)

The easiest way to do it is to click on the createlink.gif icon and post the url of what you want to link to in the box that pops up. You then click on OK and the link is posted to the dialogue box twice, the second one being highlighted. You can overwrite the highlighted text with whatever it is you want to be visible in your post.

No, because if you think about it, how can somebody else access the linked thing on your PC? :)

For that link, you enter in a URL (such as http://www.x.y/link).
