I've decided that I'd like make a bit of extra money and have thought that some part-time work that I could do in the evenings from home would be suitable. I work in IT so I'd have a good background in that respect but I don't have many ideas when it comes to what exactly I could do from home in the evenings/weekends to earn some extra money.

    Any thoughts?

    Serious suggestions only please :D

    Thanks!

You can do some small jobs on www.scriptlance.com

You can start designing websites for people/companies

You could search for jobs on www.parttimejobs.ie

Or you could cut your expenditure so you have more spare cash. :)

If you've got a good typing speed you can do transcriptions and audio-typing work from home.

Well in my case it kind of fell into my lap through existing contacts. No harm to post an availability ad on the likes of gumtree.

There are a lot of specialist transcription companies that use freelance or part time staff - you could contact them directly. If you have a legal or medical background I know both of those industries often look for specialist transcribers. Market researchers often use transcribers as well.

Freelance job sites such as elance.com or writingbids.com often have transcription work available as well that you can apply for.
