Good Equipment for Someone Starting Out?

I've recently just been learning the basics and am just starting out but I'd really like to have my own decks just so I can practice away myself and not just rely on using other peoples. What would be a good brand to look out for for just messing around with myself to try improve? Ideas on the price range etc?
    Cheers!

pioneer cdj 200 is the cheapest cdj i think, but is still very good and will do the job. at the other end cdj2000 is the most expensive.

If you can find a good deal on a pair of Pioneer 800s, they're your best bet. Quality decks, and these days you can get great prices on them.

Yeh I've been looking at different Pioneer CDJ's. Any tips on a good, but not too expensive mixer? Not really looking for anything too fancy just to help improve with the basic-basics I know!
