Verify Sky ID

I'm trying to verify my sky ID on their website so I can use the sky player on the xbox and on the phone but having no luck with the details I'm putting in (phone number & last 6 digits of bank account), can this be done at the sky box through services or do you know why it isn't accepting my details?

Never used sky on xbox only for sky player.

I just created an only account as normal with every other site and used my sky account number to allow me view what channels i subscribe to.

maybe it is similar

Ok so it's working on the xbox and sky player online, now to sort out the mobile :rolleyes:

Spent way too much time sorting out something similar last night, and eventually ended up ringing the UK Sky.com support number to try and sort it out.

From the information I was given, the only 100% reliable information to get the link to a sky account from mysky is the viewing card number, even the account number is not always reliable to get the link to work, according to the rep from Sky. I had tried just about all the other possible permutations and combinations, and none of them worked, and at the time I didn't have the viewing card number to hand.

Once I put the viewing card number in, it allowed me to link the account, and it now sees and works with the card account.

Apologies for digging up an old thread but I'm having similar problems trying to verify my sky ID on the sky website so I can use Sky Go.

I don't have a land line and when I put my mobile number into the Phone field I get an error message "We have been unable to identify this account with the details provided"

I just went on Sky help chat with some bloke and after a lot of explaining what I was trying to do he went away, came back and told me "you cannot create a Sky iD without a telephone number"

Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?
Is there a default number like 123456789 (doesn't work) or something?

I phoned up sky and asked them to check what details they had for me. Turns out they had my GF's mobile number. Once I entered that everything worked fine.
