    Hi all,
I'm trying to decide on which one to go for? The Epiphone has the potential to become a future classic but the Blackstar is more versatile? Just wondering is 5w Epiphone still to loud for home use compared to the 1w Blackstar?

    Cheers

The 5 watt gets very loud indeed for what it is. If it was my money i'd get the Blackstar. I have a Fender Champ 600, which is similar enough to the Epi, but it's not versatile at all really, although it does what it does well.

Forgot to mention that Im using a roadhouse strat and looking for a Knopfler/Clapton like tone.
