I know there's a Gruupy thread, but thought this was good enough for it's own!
€80's a great price, especially since this is the LIVE version! £80 on amazon!

    That's a great price.

I picked one up this morning as I broke my WD TV one a couple of weeks ago. Been thinking of replacing it with a HTPC.

This has changed my mind back to WD TV as it's girlfriend friendly.

ordered one there - I had been looking at the Sumvision Cyclone MKV which is still cheaper than this (~€50 delivered) but this is a better quality product. How log do Gruupy usually take to deliver?

Seems to vary widely! Anywhere from a few days to over a week!
Last item I ordered I got a few days later, but it was at the same time as other's who ordered stuff the week before me. If I was to guess they ship everything on the same days, as some people got a bunch of orders in the same delivery!

    Guys,

I've had once of these for over a year and I can highly recommend. Anyone who does make a purchase should look closely at the awesome custom firmware for the WD TV LIVE. Opens up a whole new world of functionality...........

    Hi lads,

Could anyone tell me if I bought one of these can I watch content from websites, i.e. there are a few sites that have all the TV shows from the US and I regularly watch these on my computer, would this enable me to watch them on the TV via ethernet or wireless connection.

    Thanks

    Woody

No, It's not as complicated as it looks. Both forums relate to the same custom firmware. This is the latest version for the wd tv live :
    1.03.39_B_WDLXTV.COM_WDLXTV_PLUS-0.4.3.1

You can find it here along with a history of all previous releases :

    +1

Now to look at custom firmwares, NAS, wireless usb, external hdds, might end up costing a fortune with all the extras.
