I-pad clone, battery issue :(

hello, i have an i-pad clone (chinese type) that is not being charged from my a/c adaptor! i checked the adaptor which is using the correct voltage (9v) i have it plugged in for the last few hours but when i go to turn it on, nothing happens :( can someone advise?

I'm sure a lot of clones are Chinese in some way...

Do the manufacturers have a customer service / support?

erm... something else getting power out of the same socket you are charging
with?
