    Lads, I vaguely remember being told a few months ago that being a student we can get a discount on a macbook. Is that the case or am I losing it?

    pretty sure your not mistaken, there is a way i believe, through the dcu rep or something maybe.

    I wouldn't expect anything significant really. Your going to be breaking the bank regardless.

    Order it through your portal page, there's an Apple section somewhere on it. 10% off. Still pricey, but worth every penny.

    If you are planning on buying anything apple wait till next fri as its Black Friday which is traditionally the only day of the year that apple have a sale on their website. You should be able to add an extra few % off to the DCU discount. ;)

    I don't remember Apple ever doing a black friday deal on their Irish store, but worth giving it a shot!

    The DCU discount is much better then discounts that most shops can give you, 10%. There is a link on the portal page to get it.

    They have done the last 2 years anyway. got a macbook last year with 10% off with the dcu discount and then another 7% Black Friday Discount.:D They dont announce anything before hand so dont know about this year but may be worth waiting till next friday anyway
