I know the first thing everyone is gonna think here is "use google" but I can't find any decently priced flights anywhere.. cheapest i've found was £757 Sterling.. from Dublin to Hanoi. I've looked at most of the major airlines and comparison websites but still nothing good

I also tried looking at flights like Heatrow to Kuala Lumpur but still wasn't any cheaper..

To anyone who has traveled to Hanoi who did you fly with and how much did it cost you?

My flight dates are, Departing: 25th June, Returning : 23rd July

    Any help would be great!

That's a pretty good price. There are no cheap flights to Vietnam really.

I dunno if it'll help, but try going through the list of airlines and destinations on the airport's Wikipedia page:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanoi_Airport

I usually do this, and you can sometimes find a cheap flight using a route/airline you would have never thought of. Like, first on the list for Hanoi is Aeroflot via Moscow, which wouldn't exactly come to mind I'd imagine when looking to go to Vietnam. Worth a look anyway!!

Edit: probably ignore the Aeroflot example..... just looked at it out of curiosity and it says there's nothing available. :D

    Have you tried airasia.com?

They're the Ryanair of Asia. And they go long haul from London Stansted to Kuala Lumpur.

And they then go from KL to Hanoi.

Just checked it there and you should be able to get it a bit cheaper than what you've found so far.

No outbound flight on the 25th though. You'd have to leave the 26th instead.

We flew Dublin - London with Aer Lingus then Dublin to Bangkok with China Airlines and then Bangkok - Hanoi with Vietnamese Airlines. As far as I can remember the overall cost was €604 for Dublin to Bangkok and €140 for the Bangkok to Hanoi leg. I would never fly with China Airlines again though! The year before we went with British Airways for about €100 more and it was well worth it, better peace of mind!!!

Try the Club Travel website, I've always found they are a good indicator of the cheapest airlines out there.

Don't see you getting a better price really,
www.skyscanner.ie is not showing up anything much better, looks like Air France are your best bet, or a combination of British Airways and Thai Air.

You could also go Etihad to Bangkok (but can probably get better fares elsewhere but it's handy to go from Dublin), longer flight times too.

Having checked Vietnam Airlines site it's €180 return from Bangkok to Hanoi so you're probably better off going with Air France.

The thing to remember is, it's expensive to get to, but it's cheap once you're there and it's amazing.

    Anybody got some good suggestions?

Have you tried www.skyscanner.ie as recommended above? If not, do and then come back. Also try http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ you can't actually buy the flights through the latter but it will give you ideas.

We flew dublin-amsterdam-bangkok-hanoi with AerLingus and KLM (actually China Airlines) last summer. We came back from HCMC. Trailfinders were who we booked with.
