    Ok so im going to assume for the purpose of this poll that Matt Berry is unknown to all of you.

    Look at this image and assume there was a date, time and place printed on it with a €16 price tag and nothing else.

    Comedy gig. But I know who Matt Berry is.

    And I presume only people who recognized him went to the 'gig'.

    False advertising and id be p1ssed.

    There was no false advertisement and was never listed as a comedy gig.
    Actually on every ticket site its listed as a music gig.

    But i based by decision on the poster at the venue! not having any alternative sources available to me.

    Here's the thing though - Matt Berry is an actor and musician. He's not famous for his stand-up, he doesn't have stand-up DVDs, he doesn't go on shows doing stand-up.

    A quick minute of searching on Google would've been enough to enlighten you that this is a vanity project where he performs tunes, spliced with little comic asides, and all whilst "in character".

    So instead of complaining about false advertising, which this wasn't - maybe you should learn to read before you go wasting your money.

    Thats your fault then.They never advertised comedy, just the performer. He's known as a musician, writer and actor more then a comedian and he has an album out next year on wide release

    fair enough. from my knowledge of the person i would have pinned him a more of the stand up comedian not a singer.

    I would have accepted the fact if the poster had included a reference to the 3 other members of the band, or the fact that it was a band, but it was advertised as just Matt Berry and nothing else.

    From seeing him in the IT crowd, I'd have thought comedy.. but if I bought a ticket for something with no real idea what it was for, or googling the person involved I wouldn't be complaining, I'd just feel a bit silly.
