Heard a few ads today on the radio, with the spiel at the end "whoever is regulated by the Central bank" rather than the financial regulator, anyone know what that's about? Both BOI and FriendsFirst had central bank rather than the normal one

FR no longer exists. It's now all called the Central Bank

Financial regulator proved itself unable to regulate properly.

It is all the same entity, just renamed.
They were IFSRA for a while, Central Bank prior to that.
