By any chance does anybody know of a cheapish (€400 give or take) 32" tv that can receive saorview and fta satellite? The freeview hd/freesat hd combo tv's would be perfect but the few I've seen were a little pricey.

There is a Walker one in power city that has the official Saorview logo on it.

There is also Samsung 32" going for about 350euro in PC world/Curry's i think.

The walker wp32sat-hd at powercity would be fine but the description says "not Mpeg4" which is a bit odd seeing as walker have saorview certified sets. I might call powercity tomorrow.

Did the Samsung have a satellite tuner?

From reading the terrestial forum, it seems freeview will be useless for Irish DTT, freeview HD will work fine.

Powercity are selling the Sony KDL-32V5810 for €549.
I know its outside your budget but its a cracking TV and has everything you are looking for.
Irish DTT compatible, freesat tuner, a very user friendly and responsive on screen menu, stunning HD pictures and sound output is up there with the best performers.
It also comes with a 5 year warranty and free delivery nationwide.
