    1st time selling on Ebay

    Need to sell somethinhg on Ebay

    Have a paypal account.

    Am I best posting by registered post, in case the buyer, claims they never got item

    Yes, otherwise you're giving free stuff away and just inviting a scam.

    Depends on the item being posted and if the customer will pay for the registered postage.

    Registered postage is very expensive, running sometimes at around 8 euro if the item is only worth a tenner then its pointless. If the customer is willing to pay for registered postage then use it but ive found ive had to list items with postage set at 3 euro just to sell them.

    Also registered postage is still worthless as they can claim the package was empty and will win the ebay case. Or as has happened with me the post office loose it and just give you your 8 euro back and say sorry nothing we can do.

    What are you planning on selling ?

    Cost me just €5.40 for a registered letter....rip off...but this seems to be a minimum charge. You could probably register a small package for the same amount.

    Registered packets to UK are delivered by FedEx.

    Extremely inconvenient if the person isn't there when it's delivered as depots can be miles away.
