Converting File Format

    Hi there - I wonder if people could help me out with something. I am trying to convert a video using VLC media player. I'm using the 1.1.5 version, so what I've been doing is going into Media -> Save/Convert and then selecting what files I want to convert, then choosing the format I want them to be converted in to. However, whenever I do this, the audio gets dropped and I cannot really understand why.

    Also, I've no idea if this is the correct forum to ask in!
