Freesat / Coax problem

    Hi all,

    I replaced my Technomate 5200D with a Sagem DS186HD.

When I unplugged coax from TM I noticed there was no connector (is it called a f-connector?) between the coax and the TM sat input.

I'm assuming sat installer should have used a connector to centre the cable to line it up with satellite in.

Consequently the Sagem had trouble finding signal but my dodgy DIY sorted it for the last 3 months but has lost it again after TV stand was moved and I can't get it back.

What i'm wondering is what is the standard cabling that should be used for sat installation? My cable has no ident on it and I'd imagine it's not the optimum.
