    Hi guys,

Wondering your opinion of this guy? I saw him play in New York on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and i've got to say, probablly the best live music I've ever seen. So so good. It's niec to see someone with so much natural talent. He seems like a really nice guy on top of it all too.

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get my hands on his song 'The Birds and the Bees'. I've had a look on iTunes and Amazon and it's not there. Think it must be a b-side or something. Great tune.

great performer, great stage presence in a very self deprecating way.

had the pleasure in seeing him in a very intimate venue recently.

Brilliant voice, a very shy person I gather and doesnt bother with a lot of the bull**** of the music industry. Very refreshing, hope to see him live one day.

Yep Mick is quite an amazing musician. I know he is currently recording new songs so the birds and the bees could be on the new EP perhaps?!

You see him at The Red Lion ya?

I was there too, sensational voice from such a quite guy. He has an almost flawless balance to his voice when he's singing. He has a song on youtube called "The Way Things Go" which is fantastic and I dont recall it being on any of the albums.

Yeah the Red Lion - great to see him in such a small venue. The other guys were pretty good too actually, but Flannery really is a cut above almost any other musician I've seen live. I saw him the following night too in Rockwood Music, played a much shorter set, but still great.

Yeah cheers, just listening to The Way things Go now. Great tune.

Turns out the birds and bees tune was on his first EP. Cant find it online.

Anyone know when the new album is due?

You can listen to birds and the bees on youtube (the link says "in the gutter", silly Katherine thomas): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3COQdfS5aVo. also, He's been recording his last album for over a year. He's been to three studios now and spent his budget so no I think a sound engineer's been given the tracks and been told "make an album out of that". I know this because I recorded a few tracks with my own band with the same guy he did first. We got a brief listen to the tracks, they seemed very melancholic and darker than white lies. If you've any other questions i'd be happy to help!

    Nice information man thanks!

Bit of a long shot, but saw Mick play a show in a small venue last year and he played a new song, quite dark. It could have been the Devils something, or similiar to that. It was about an old tree near where he is from I think. But ya quite vague, but it was a fantatsic song and would love to know if its gonna be on the record.

White lies is one of the best Irish albums in many years IMO.
