    Hi,

My wife got a new iPhone. She is moving from a Nokia 6300.

She has 300+ contacts setup on the Nokia.

How do we transfer all of these contacts over to the new phone? I am at a complete loss with this.

    Rgds,

    D.

Please check iNoki at: http://www.nokisoft.com/inoki. It's an iPhone app which can extract and import data in .NBU file created by Nokia PC Suite. All phonebook, sms, calendar, photo, audio, videos can be imported.

That thread is 9 months old, the OP got the problem sorted and PC Suite is now obsolete, having been replaced long ago by Ovi Suite. Both PC Suite and Ovi Suite will sync straight to Outlook from where you can sync to iTunes or HTC Sync or most other phone utilities. You do not need to install an iPhone app.

    Not a good first post!

PC Suite is not replaced by OVI Suite - they will co-exist for quite a long time. You can check the latest PC Suite release date to confirm.

Besides, OVI Suite & PC Suite use the same backup file format -> .NBU file.

iNoki do all importing in one shot instead of syncing this, syncing that.

I think you're a bit out of touch with Nokia s/w. The 'latest' version of PC Suite is 4.88 which officially does not support XP SP2 or any later Windows OS like Vista or Win7. I have the installation file in my archive and its dated 2008.

I have some older Nokia models like the 6021 and 6230i and I use PC Suite to sync them but I use Ovi Suite to sync the newer models.

    From the Nokia FAQ:

What will happen to Nokia PC Suite?

Nokia PC Suite is being replaced by Nokia Ovi Suite, which is the newer and more user-friendly application for Windows.

Nokia is not developing PC Suite anymore.

The latest pc suite is 7.1 - check it here : http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/PC-and-Mac-Software/bd-p/

There're minor upgrade every now and then since 2009. In fact, Nokia never stop dev pc suite for the new ovi suite just not good enough to replace pc suite - you can check the thread number in Nokia discussion forum for pc suite and ovi suite to confirm . With the recent shutting down of Ovi brand, I don't see there's a bright future for ovi suite.

    ----

p.s. The old 4.88 produces .nfb backup file instead of .nbu. And I'd been answer pc suite related questions in Nokia forum since 2007 - now a "processor" member of the forum.

Thanks for that, I stand corrected and am happy to admit it. When you go to the Nokia website (I normally start at europe.nokia.com) and search for 6021 or 6230i, the 'software' link takes you to the 4.88 PC Suite download page but I can see that PC Suite 7.1 supports both of them so I've been misled for a while.

The link that you provided didn't work, this one does...

Are you using the Nokia 6300?

When did you last update the pc suite on the PC?
