Sheamus v Wade - Who is better?

Wade is obviously the bigger priority for Vince right now which is fair enough as he has been immense with this Nexus angle. His mic work has been imperious but....

His ring work is an issue. Cena carried him to a cracking match at HIAC but mostly he is someone whose hand needs to be held in the ring.

Sheamus on the other hand for me while not flavor of the month is probably a better all round package. He knows what he is doing in the ring, is no slouch on the mic and interestingly I actually think in a few years he would be a decent face.

I look at Wade and while he has been one of my favs this year, I don't know if he will evolve as well as Sheamus and I think he would make an awful face.

Who do you prefer? 23 votes

I think Wade is already in the Top 3 talkers in the company already. He comes across great as a hell and every time he talks I think he gets better. In ring he's not top level yet but that will hopefully come with time.

However, Sheamus is still a better all rounder at present so he gets the nod.

Sheamus for sure. But Barrett is being pushed now.Sheamus is far better in the ring,he was a bit green when he came in but had some good matches with Bourne, Morrison & in particular Triple H.I didn't see Barrett's match with Cena but his Main event one with Orton, was just awful. Both are confident on the mic but I feel they give Sheamus too many Oirish lines that take away the serious part of a heel gimmick. One thing that annoys me about Barrett is that he sounds like he's chewing on something when he talks.

They're both really good on the mic but Wade is dull as dishwater in the ring, Shemus is decent/good.
Plus how many single matches has Barrett had? it doesn't seem like a lot.

First one to vote for Barrett here!

It's nice to see an Irish lad in the big leagues, but I don't think he was ready for a big title reign when it happened.

Barrett just screamed main eventer for me right from the start.

Have to say i'm probably biased because Sheamus is irish.

But I think Sheamus is the better in-ring wrestler and still improving, whilst Barrett is phenomenal on the mic (my favourite talker at the moment). He holds himself like a worthy main eventer, really impressive. His in-ring work isn't great tho :o

In the long run Sheamus' mic work will only get better (as he gets more creative freedom in promos) and has the edge in-ring, and also has more shelf life as he looks like he could be a big face, unlike Barrett, who has to be type cast as a heel and would be extremely hard to get over as a face...
