    Right I know that the plate means the cars imported but what Im wondering is does the car have to be over 30 years old to get one or does it have to registered orginally before 1987

    Only if the car is over 30 years. In case car is pre-87 and younger than 30 years, you get 82 D xxxx, 85 C xxxx, etc...

    Once it hits 30 years, theoretically you can then change your registration to ZV, but not the other way around

    Surely 86 will be the cut off point. But nothing would surprise me with the fools at the helm in this country.
