Hyland is looking good but he had better keep his right hand up, Laze is jumping in with some huge left hands!

Laze is one hardly little b*ll*x... even without reach, he runs and thumps you... took a few punches and came running back to get hit a few more times... fair play to him for an entertaining fight..

Wow, no-one saw that coming. Nice shot.

Holy hell that was some punch.. did you hear the smack from it... well done to murray on the recovery.... This Brazilian lad looks tough, real tough..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,351 ✭✭✭djhaxman

The Brazilian lad won't be 6/1 now, thats for sure. Murray is going to have to watch himself here.

Much much better from Andy. could become a full on scrap any minute though, if it does andy is done

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

yeah much better from Murray.. looks much more in control... Brazilian lad messy about sticking out his chin, throwing wild punches...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 383 ✭✭coronaextra

grest stuff here now from andy, in and out, this guy is very loose and wild with his punches,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,351 ✭✭✭djhaxman

Lol, that shot was so wild he almost spun right round.

Good work from Murray again in this round.

At certain times with his wild punches, it looks as if it's the first time he ever stepped in the ring... Andy is well on top, but has to be careful not to get caught with one of his haymakers... though I think the term Hayemaker has been downgraded (after last week's fight) to "any punch that carry more force than a thrown pillow"

It's the knockdown in the first that is making me think it "should" be close, i dont have murray winning 8 rounds

Dave McAuley says the same things in every fight. Change the record ffs.

Fair play to the Brazilian lad, he was very gracious in defeat...... He surely must be disappointed after knocking Murray in the first round...

Entertaining. Glad I tuned in instead of the football!
That Brazilian is a bit of a nutter but at least he went for it. Should've done it earlier when he was sharper himself.

Brazillian was **** no technique rubbish defence looking away every time puncehes were thrown swinging wild hooks looked like a guy who has not been boxing long, paid 40 euro to watch this, Murray very boring fighter will get Ko'd if ever faces serious fighter. Hyland fight was good , Coyle looked good against a human punchbag who threw less than 10 offensive punches in first 7 rounds, the standard of most of these opponents peters is flying in is rock bottom wont pay to go again

He was a one trick pony all-right, swinging mad and hoping to catch Murray with a lucky one.
I think it was a great fight to get (from Murrarys point of view) as he was a rated fighter who had very limited boxing ability. All Murarry had to do was stay away and out point him which he did when he got to grips with the other guys range. His name is now out there and opens the door for some big fights.

He would have learned a great deal from the fight, however i dont think hes ready to make the step up yet. He needs to sharpen up and start to vary his technique and get a bit more head movement going.

Still very good performance and really looking forward to seeing who his next opponent will be! Well done Andy

Murray done well not getting involved in a toe to toe scrap. He had superior skill and he showed it. However I dont think he handled the fight aswell as he could've and I think he should've been able to stop Lacerda.

On another note....Jimmy McGee FFS retire. Awful commentating yet again.

Lacerda was Sh!T, he was over 100 in the world on boxrec but had a good WBO ranking for winning the Latino title or somethin, however Murray did box well.

I dont think Murray will go far because he can't bang, but hey look at Ricky Burns! now world champ, saying that burns looks in much better condition than Andy though
