    Hey all,

I have two baby chinchillas (6mth approx) who are not from the same family, both male and neutured though!

They seem to get along fine, they did have issues before they got the snip (lol) but that all subsided afterwards...

They've been living in harmony for about a month but yesterday when I took em out they were dominance mounting again!Seemed more like a bit of an arguement though - it wasn't as serious as before!

I'm just worried though, it's hard to know if I should seperate them or sell one or something! As of yet neither are showing signs of being bullied so I wonder if it was just a spat and I should just keep an eye on them?

Hoping someone might have some experience or advice to help me...:)

    Hi there,

I had 2 brothers (littermates) that didn't get on as they got older, the more dominant one actually started urinating on the other. I seperated then and they lived very happily side by side in their own cages. They were completly fine to let run loose together as plenty of space to get away from each other, they were also loose with 2 others. They really do need company so I wouldn't recommend rehoming one of them. As long as they have their own space they should get on fine and still be company for each other.
