Meeting point and safe car park heading from Bray and Blanchardstown to Galway

Heading to Galway for a gig at the weekend with a friend. They are coming from Bray and I from Blanch, they are driving. Need to come up with a handy meeting point en route where we can leave my car. Was thinking the Spa Hotel in Lucan but then heard they clamp in their car park.

Going to be approximately 12 hours, Sat afternoon, back in the early hours of the morning.

Them coming to me isn't an option based on time commitments. Anyone got any suggestions?

Is the 239 bus from Clonsilla to Liffey Valley of use to you? Otherwise I'd say park your car around Liffey Valley itself but it's patrolled by clampers parking attendants and some of the car parks are locked later in the night which is a worry.

Taxi from Blanch to Lucan/Liffey Valley.
If time is tight, bus may not be good idea.
    Leave your car at home.

In fairness, it takes about 5 minutes to get to blanch from Liffey valley by car. Why not have them come pick you up and pay the toll for them. In fact they will already be on the M50 so they don't even need to come off at liffey valley.

I suppose if there truly is a tight schedule then it might not be an option though... just a thought.

That's a fair few mile away from Liffey Valley and Lucan so it's not the handiest place.

Get the train from Bray to Blanchardstown (Clonsilla/Castleknock/Coolmine) or get them to go to Maynooth and pick up there.

Or get the 145 bus to Heuston and meet them there.

Who is time tight for? Them, you or both?

Tesco in Maynooth is 24 hours. Car park is well supervised.

Thanks for the replies...looks like Liffey Valley is the smart alternative as a pick up via bus/taxi. It's a fairly precise time connection....we are both coming from other things and have a set time we must be in Galway for.

Would normally suggest collecting me in Blanch but the traffic for the shopping centre is crazy as Christmas approaches and it's too risky for delays.
