Reminds me of a Chrysler Sebring.

Im probably going to get flamed for this, but here goes:

Its ugly IMO. The front looks like the Volvo front end from the early to mid 2000's and the back has a resemblance of the newer peugeot saloon range. Totally ugly.

Give me an M5 any day! Hell, give me an old 8 series compared to that.

My thoughts exactly, looks like an early '00ies Sebring.

Not sure what to make of it, more elegant than the outgoing model,

I liked the fact the old one looked in-elegant. It had a nice "FU!" chunkyness about it and as we know, thats the whole point of BMWs right? :D

It gets uglier towards the back. I prefer the current one. Some day I'll have one...

Well at least in true BMW tradition it is dividing opinion. I'm sure it will look pretty impressive in the flesh.

Also looking at the inside, anyone think that LCD screen is almost too big?

I quite like the brown leather in the last photo, and.... yep, that's about it. Front looks like a Volvo as has been mentioned, and the sides look way too busy.
