The Party Dress I Dream Of...

Hi - can anyone help me on where in Dublin to find a square-necked, hopefully wide strapped and low-backed dress, please.

What I'm looking for is a funky dress quite fitted on top with a more fuller fitting below. I've wide hips so generally I'm a size smaller on top than below, so dresses can be difficult to fit.

I've tried to attach a few images of what I'm looking for, but have failed!:(

Would any of these be the style you're looking for (shapewise)?

theres a dress in Penneys at the mo that might suit you - it comes in red, black or purple and would be quite flattering on but its a party dress for going out - I thought the black would be a good wardrobe staple.

I think I bought the red one yesterday... I think it is the same one you are talking about. I'm going to accessorise it and wear it to a wedding I have in oz next year.

OP - I think I have the same shape as you and its really flattering. It flows over my hips and ends just above the knee (I'm 5,6).

Penny's also have some really fab wrap dresses in at the moment, that actually are flattering for the slightly bigger bottomed shape!

    Hi Futurecrook

Thanks for that but they're a little girlie for me, I'm more suited to a block colour. I'm quite tall (6ft 2in) so I would feel like an overgrown schoolgirl in something flouncy. I'll check out the website though and see if there's anything else that might suit. Something similar to this is what I'm after...
