    Why the f*k does this institution only have the two temp settings: full blast or off?

    The AM building is like a goddam sauna. Might show up tomorrow in speedos.

    Do. I'm in there tomorrow I could do with a laugh! :)

    seriously though, never had a problem with temp in the college except in the library at exam time. worlds biggest oven!

    Even better, all the offices are 40C while all the laboratories are 4C.
    Thanks buildings. That'll convince people to stay off Facebook and boards.ie (:D), won't it?

    Agreed with all of the above. It never seems to find a happy medium. I remember having lectures in the AMB in 2002 where the heat would put you to sleep. I've noticed in the last few days/week that the temperature has been ramped right up (at least in the IT Building) which is quite funny since the air con was on until mid/late October!

    Yup, that's because they switched it to the "on" setting. Don't worry, if you arrive early for exams it will be set back to "off" and you can freeze your balls off while you wait.
