Where to go in Galway on a Saturday Night

Planing on a girls night out in Galway for birthday celebrations. Where do we go? 30 somethings, don't want to end up someplace where we feel like geriatrics.
Ideally, the birthday girl would like someplace that maybe has '80's music???!!!
Any suggestions, for dinner, bars, clubs, etc., appreciated.

The usual path would be Front Door, King's Head and then Halo.

Others will have more suggestions I'm sure.
    Enjoy.

My rule of thumb for groups of people over age of 30: stay within 100 meters of Quay Street.

I suggest Townhouse Bar (opposite Jurys Inn)

For a nightclub, try Halo as previously suggested.

Other places worth going to are Kelly's Bar, Dew Drop and Busker Brownes - all of which are in close proximity to each other.

If you want o go off the beaten track, try McSwiggans and massimos.

    Same idea
martines restaraunt for dinner (Quay St)
    Buskers for drinks (Cross St)
Halo for clubbing (Upper Abbeygate St)

Not sure about the 80s music though.

...followed by a greasy but yummy drunken kebab in Charcoal Grill and a shift from a random stranger at the taxi rank.

The Quays for dancing to band/80's music.
    definite for 30 somethings.

I'd say the Quays upstairs is your best choice, music-wise, and probably crowd-wise as well...

Also upstairs in Kellys on a Sat night is very good. Big mix of 80s & 90s songs
