We just got freesat installed today. The "now and next" part of the info is fine, but for the full EPG you have to subscribe to something, €4.95 a month. I think anyway, either way there's no way to look at what's on for a week. And even then, I'd prefer to look through something on a PC. Is there any software that gets what's on for the next few days, and you can set reminders and the like. Something for the full range of Freesat and the associated channels.

Is it a freesat box or fta box?

Whichever the one is that's not from Britain. We didn't have to put any postcode or the like in.

whats the make and model number?

It's a German company. And the box is a Smart Electronic MX04HDCA.

Edit: But like I said, I'm not worried about a TV Guide on the box or through the TV. I'd like a system that I can use on the PC, seeing as I spend most of my time there and only go on the TV when I'm bored.

Second edit: The other box is a Triax SR110.

    I use radiotimes.com

Register, stick in a postcode from NI, you can choose from "All channels" including RTE etc, rearrange them to suit, add reminders. Around 2 weeks of info available.

no you did not, you got a free to air box with limited EPG, no software updates, and should not of been sold to you as 'Freesat'.

You can customise this one to the channels that you like.
go to options choose northan Ireland as your region. And you can add all freesat/irish channels (except rtenews now/ 3e)

It wasn't sold as Freesat, that's just me getting the terms mixed up. The installer was top notch. And he could have made another sale at the end but told us to wait.

Cheers for the suggestion, I'll check out those two sites.

You should have got an "Freesat HD" box to get all the channels, decent user interface and full program guide.

I do get all the channels. It does have a decent user interface. And I'm asking for a guide for the PC as we wouldn't use one on the TV.

The best TV guide on PC I ever used was Digiguide - http://www.digiguide.com/price-list/. The 2 year sub works out at about 2 Euro per month. You can use it for a trial period to see if its worth the expense.

It's come up as the only real option on a number of searches I've done. I'll give the trial a go and see if it works out.

www.tvtv.co.uk is another web based TV Guide.

Also, TVGuide.co.uk also has an iPhone app. It's not bad.
