I've got 2 of these cheap universal remotes lying around the house and the mother needs one to work the old Continental Edison Tv in her room. I have instruction manuals off each and neither has codes for this brand of Tv ...

We use to have a Black Diamond Tv and any Phillips remote use to work it so just wondering if anyone knows of a different brand of remote that works for a Continental Edison so I could try codes of that brand for my mothers Tv.

One of the remotes is a URC-22B if thats any help.

Any help is much appreciated :D

try using the codes for philips tv, or mitsibushi tv,they make black diamond, or use the search for code method from the manual, when tv goes off store the code.URC USUALLY MEANS ONE FOR all remote ,google one for all europe website , then put in the model of the remote, then read the manual online, and look for continental edison codes. theres a label with the model on it ,on the remote.if you have time the search method should work anyway.

Is that an old black 21" 4:3 set. If it is then these were also sold under the matsui and grundig brands. try codes for these anyway and they should work.

look in manual, code search method, it finds code, turns off tv.press store, or else buy a 1for all remote cost ten euro, if you look round the shops in town.
it just takes a bit longer, than entering the code for tv directly.i never seen a tv that could not be used with a one4all remote.
