    Hi lads,

Bit of a problem with a 05 seat alhambra.

It will go grand in 1st to 4th gear but in fifth if I rev over 2200rpm it looses power, it wont stop but its a big drop in power.

I've replaced the air mass meter but it still the same.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks,

    Fish

you say it looses power -as in goes into limp mode and is fine if ignition is turned off and on again? if so it could be over-boosting

Yeah if I turn the ignition off and on again its ok.

    over boosting???

what do I hit with the hammer to fix that ?

    Thanks for reply,

    Fish

overboost limp mode is normally sticking turbo vanes, meaning your turbo will have to be cleaned out

I think you should scan the car first...

There are three common codes for limp mode.
    Boost Deviation Intermittent
    Boost Deviation Negative
    Boost Deviation Positive

Boost Deviation Intermittent means you most likely have a vacuum leak somewhere. Check all lines, actuators, and plastic fittings.

Boost Deviation Negative means you have a clogged intake, actuator that's leaking, bad vacuum lines, or a sticky turbo.

Boost Deviation Positive means you have a N75 that's bad/malfunctioning, actuator that's leaking, bad vacuum lines, or a sticky turbo.
