VAT on Leases

    If a self employed person is leasing a van, can they reclaim the VAT on it?

    Also can the VAT on Diesel be reclaimed?

    You can claim VAT for diesel.

    I presume you're registered for VAT. If so, yes, you can claim VAT on lease repayments for commercial vehicles.
