Have you been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and told to exercise, but don't know exactly what you should be doing?

Our research group in UCD is trying to answer that question - to find out what type and amount of exercise is most beneficial for people with type 2 diabetes.

We are currently looking for participants to take part in a study looking at how people with T2D respond to walking at different speeds The study involves coming to UCD three times to walk on the treadmill, and afterwards we'll be able to provide you with information about your fitness, your exercise abilities, your body compositon (body fat and muscle proportions) and some blood test results.

If you (or anybody you know) would be keen to take part, we'd love to hear from you. The key criteria are that particiapnts have type 2 diabetes, are male and aged 40 to 70.

You can contact me through PM here on Boards, or by phone - The UCD Institute for Sport and Health on 01-716 3256.
